A touch of Grinch

It's wet and chilly, and I have to smile and be cordial to guests outside from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
I am not really in the mood to do that again tonight. I'm sure that I will find my way to tolerating it, and in the end, will enjoy the evening and getting to intereact with everyone. Part of the difficulty of the season, especially for people in the arts, is that you do want people to come for these special events - you want for the hard work that you've put into the exhibits or music or whatever else to be appreciated. It's just that after awhile, you just feel all "given out".

So, I'm not really "Grinch"-ing. I'm just saying, after doing this every Thursday and Friday since Thanksgiving, I'm to the point where I would rather be snuggled up at home with a blanket and a scented candle and some good music, or a good movie, with the Christmas tree lit up and the people I love close by...

  1. Well...get ready because you'll have a full house again in a few days!!! All chitlins and the Winkle under one roof for the holidays...pretty snazzy!
