Opera Under the Stars at Bayou Bend A Fiddler´s Tale by Wynton Marsalis Saturday September 26 (rain date September 27) 8:00 p.m. Bayou Bend and Opera Vista, an innovative opera company based in Houston, team up for a third time on this popular event. Featured this year will be A Fiddler´s Tale by Wynton Marsalis, about a musician who sells her soul to a record producer. The music is suffused with blues and jazz, befitting Marsalis´s New Orleans heritage. Bring a folding chair or blanket and enjoy this memorable evening of music and beauty under the stars on the Diana Lawn. Gates open at 7:15 p.m. performance begins at 8:00 p.m. Tickets: $25, $5 discount to MFAH members, students, and seniors 65 + with ID. Tickets available in advance on the Bayou Bend website or at door the night of event, space permitting. No refunds. No outside food or drink (except water) permitted; wine, beer, sodas, and bottled water will be available for purchase.
