Season confusion...

Yes, this is the variety of color in the gardens this week - some fall color, and some that one might presume should come in the spring.  However, the second and third pictures are of camellias, and in our climate they bloom December, January, February - around in there somewhere.  The one directly above the text, though, was in full bloom over two weeks ago, so I think we are just generally ahead of the game.  Today, the gardeners will likely be setting out poinsettias - potted ones - in various parts of the gardens, and their bright red "blooms" will signal the holiday season.  All around elsewhere, if one looks closely, will be the truest indicators of the weather we've had recently.  I'm ready for another cool front.
