I have only that long to capture a thought before changing into my walking shoes and radically walking into the sunset of Memorial Park to walk for 1 plus miles. I'm not sure how far the distance really is, but since the trail appears to be a somewhat lopsided equilateral triangle, is 2.9 miles long, and I'm walking a round-trip of one side, I'm going to give myself credit for 2 miles and about 5,000 steps. The steps I actually measured with a pedometer. So there.
What has brought this burst of energy about? Nothing, except that I admitted to Dr. Levins that I knew I needed to lose weight. Not sure how I was going to accomplish it, but I knew that it was necessary. I've tried various ways of modifying the diet, and we all have to work continuously on that, but the only other variable seems to be the exercise one. It is a second-by-second thing as 5:00 nears to commit to walking the "walk". I'm just ridiculously out of shape. I know this because everyone passes me. I do not pass anyone.
