Blahhhh....

Isn't he charming in his own way? He has a sort of "je ne sais quoi" about him, yes? The certain young person in my family who created this chicken-footed gargoyle would be saying, "Oh please tell me you did not really post this!" and I would have to say in return, "But there are just days when he speaks to me!"

Today is one of those days...

It is Good Friday, which always for a Christian, brings forth some mixed feelings. The saddest of times enveloped in the knowledge of the most miraculous of times. That means that in 2 days, we will celebrate Easter, and all I will want to do is sing the powerful, joyful hymns of that day. And because we have had a glorious spring of growth and healing rain, my allergies have descended in all of their pollen and mold sensitive glory...and I have no singing voice. Only about a 5-note range that just does not carry one very far. Not helping the whole allergy train is the dust stirred up by shoveling through one's past and packing it for a move.

So today, I have a definite case of BLAH. Who knows? That could become a fitting acronym. How about - Battling Laziness, Acceleration, and Histamines. And once I take the medicine to treat that condition, I will smile a silly smile like the creature above, and crawl back into my cozy bed, and raise my claws to anyone who messes with me until I feel more human.

Yup. It's just going to be one of those days.
