The past week has been a bit of a blur. Or at least seemingly so. Here we are on New Year's Eve, wanting to get off work early to go home for some kind of ringing in 2010. With four people under the same roof right now, all seem to have separate plans for the evening, and I'm thinking that is a very healthy thing. All are finding a way to celebrate the turning over of the year's end in hopes of better times to come. It's certainly too true of this year in particular - that is, that we are looking for relief from the scary things that been huge distractions and worries during 2009.
So many corners have been turned in the lives of those who call our corner of the world "home".
Putting one's "behind in the past" and letting go of all those things that might seem unfair, difficult, unmanageable, overwhelming, disconcerting, etc. - and putting a tangible face (or date)on opening a new door - is that act of faith that lets us take a deep breath and move forward.
Like early morning in the spring. Like early morning any time...
